Join guides-in-training, Amélie Chalifoux and Jacky Farrell (McGill Science Outreach), for a Shinrin Yoku (Forest Bathing) walk in the Gault Nature Reserve. Forest Bathing helps us slow down, open our senses and follow our curiosities. What a great way to take a nourishing break, recharge and celebrate winter.

For adults. Space is limited and registration is required by February 2.

To provide you with the best experience, we limit each group to 10 people maximum. Registrations will be treated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Please note: registration does not guarantee a spot. Your participation/waitlist status will be confirmed by email 7-10 days before the session.

Details:

· Cost: the standard entry fee to the Reserve will apply: $9.55/non-member. The walk itself ($25/person) is offered free of charge by Amélie Chalifoux and Jacky Farrell (Science Outreach at McGill).

· Meet at the Welcome Center at 9:50 am to check in. We’ll be leaving at 10:00.

· Bring a water bottle, walking poles if you need them and a small waterproof mat or folding stool if you have one so that you can sit at different moments. We will also have small mats to share with you if needed.

· Dress warmly for the weather and in layers, as we'll be moving slowly: we strongly advise snow pants, a wool sweater layered over a warm shirt, wool tuque, wool socks, warm mittens, warm boots for walking on snow and ice – slightly uphill and downhill.

**Crampons are strongly advised and can be rented at the Welcome Center. Check the trail conditions on the Reserve's website before arriving and plan accordingly.**

· Winter tip: when you arrive at the Reserve, change your socks so that the ones you're wearing to start the walk are warm and dry.

This walk will be postponed to February 10 in the event of heavy rain, freezing rain, extreme cold or snow.

Please note: due to limited space, registration does not guarantee a spot. Your participation/wait list status will be confirmed by email 7-10 days before the session.
