Research Summary:
Prof. Franklin is interested in neural mechanisms of motivation, particularly the role of specific neurotransmitter systems.Ìý His research uses pharmacological and molecular biological methods to study the role of monoamines, opiate peptides and neurosteroids in pain, memory and drug dependence.
