McPIG-Understanding Refugees: from Poland to Istanbul
We invite you to an activity hosted by McPIG (McGill Psychiatry Interest Group) titled: Understanding Refugees: from Poland to Istanbul.
Our speakers are Amanda Chalupa and Deniz Kilinc, two graduate students from the Transcultural division of McGill Psychiatry. Both have done extensive field work. Amanda works with the Polish population all over the world for whom the experience of exile to Soviet Camps during WWII is now 75 years old. While Deniz works with the Syrian population burgeoning into Istanbul right now. They are both exciting and engaging speakers, full of insight and passion for the people they have come to know.
Please join us on August 13th, 7-9 PM, in Thomson House, Room 404! Your knowledge and opinions will be hugely appreciated.
