I have been working at McGill since 2007. Before that, I was employed at University College, Oxford (2003-6), Harvard University (2006-7), and Melbourne University (2007-9, part time).
I held visiting posts at Université Catholique de Louvain (2004); University of Stockholm (2006, 2009, 2013); University of Tokyo (2009); St Anne's College, Oxford (2010); New York University (2011); Fondation Brocher (2012, 2014); Collège d'Etudes Mondiales, Paris (2013); Waseda University (2013-14); Corpus Christi College, Oxford (2014). I am scheduled to visit Hebrew University of Jerusalem in May and June 2015.
The area of my research is moral philosophy. More specifically, I work on axiology and its applicaitons to public policy.
In 2014, I published three monographs: Moral Aggregation (Oxford University Press); Egalitarianism(Routledge); and The Ethics of Health Care Rationing (co-authored with Greg Bognar, Routledge). I am about to complete two edited volumes: The Oxford Handbook of Value Theory (Oxford University Press) with Jonas Olson; and Weighing and Reasoning (Oxford University Press) with my McGill colleague, Andrew Reisner.
