Dr. Thérèse Perreault re-appointed Division Director of Neonatology
Dr. Thérèse Perreault has been re-appointed as the Division Director of Neonatology. Dr. Perreault is the inaugural Director of this Division that was formed through the amalgamation of the Montreal Children's Hospital and Royal Victoria Hospital legacy NICUs in advance of the move of both hospitals to our present Glen site.
Dr. Perreault's first five years has been studded with challenges presented and accomplishments. These included the merger of two different medical and nursing teams, the application of quality metrics to newborn care, the physical move to the Glen, renewal of the Perinatal Fellowship program, substantive recruitments particularly in the domain of clinician-investigators that has invigorated a robust research program in newborn medicine, outreach to maternity units in our partner CIUSSS and RUIS, as well as a vibrant global outreach in improving newborn care with partners in Kigali, Rwanda. All of these individually are remarkable accomplishments and taken collectively they represent an awesome record of leadership. From my perspective this bodes well for future growth in a most important segment of our clinical and academic activities.
Congratulations Dr. Perreault on the renewal, and thank you for your leadership!
