Ruth Ngozi Agbakoba
B.Sc., (Biomedical Informatics), M.Sc. (Health Informatics)
Ruth is a doctoral researcher at the University of Glasgow who was awarded the 2016 Principal’s Early Carer Mobility Fund Scholarship, to the Chronic Disease and Health Informatics Research (CDHIR) Lab at Ï㽶ÊÓƵ. Ruth has a strong background in health informatics, digital health and e-Health. Her doctoral work explores the factors affecting large-scale implementation of innovative e-Health interventions designed to improve health and wellbeing. Ruth worked collaboratively with Dr. Sara Ahmed on two initiatives funded by the Canadian Institute of Health Research (CIHR) to facilitate chronic disease management: My Asthma Portal (MAP) and the Patient Health Portal (PHP). Ruth has provided qualitative expertise in evaluating the use of these web-based tools to support self-management for Asthma and COPD patients.Â
