contains 4-chloro indole acetic acid as an active ingredient which really is quite effective against broad-leaved weeds. It is a naturally occurring plant hormone that triggers the release of ethylene, a compound involved in plant growth. When applied to a weed it causes it to grow very rapidly. So much so that it's growth exceeds the speed at which the nutrients in the surrounding soil can feed it thereby causing the weed to die. Canada’s Pesticide Management Regulatory Agency has determined that the use of this compound is not a risk to health. So go ahead and show those dandelions who's boss.
