Managing Imposter Syndrome and Public Speaking Anxiety
Lister Family Engaged Science Initiative
Helping researchers make their science accessible by teaching them to hone their content, physical presence, visuals and voice to effectively engage a variety of audiences.
We are pleased to announce a collaborative workshop with Shannon Walsh from the Student Wellness Hub at the Macdonald Campus and our own presentation training director Andrew Churchill. Shannon will kick-off the conversation with insights from her experience working with McGill students to overcome anxiety in their academic lives and then Andrew will add his experience working with graduate students managing their speaking anxiety. Come with questions and expect to be involved.
Space is limited to 12 participants.
Additional workshops and events can be found on the Lister Family Engaged Science Initiative website.
This workshop is automatically recognized on your McGill co-curricular record (CCR). Learn more about the CCR.
At the Student Wellness Hub's Macdonald Campus location, students can:
- Access care from a Hub Clinician (doctor, nurse, counsellor, dietitian, or Local Wellness Advisor)
- Consult our self-directed care resources online
- Meet with their Local Wellness Advisor to learn about mental health and well-being, tools to deal with stress, and more!
