New partnership with Chinese university
The agreement was signed by Prof. Fabrice Labeau, Interim Chair of McGill’s Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Prof. Guixia Kang, head of the Universal Wireless Communications lab at the Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications.
As part of this three-year agreement, the two universities will collaborate on the exchange of students, faculty, scholars and staff; on research in fields of mutual interest; and on the exchange and sharing of teaching and academic materials or of publications.
The Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications offers undergraduate and graduate degrees, mainly in the fields of engineering and management. It is one of the largest universities in the world with a telecommunications focus.
The two institutions are currently developing a project to bring the concepts of green information technology to the field of e-health.
