Montreal Gazette - Pound heads latest slate of inductees
Published: 1 October 2010
Former Olympic swimmer and International Olympic Committee executive Richard Pound topped the list of six inductees to the McGill Sports Hall of Fame.
Pound was joined by Redmen football all-Canadian offensive-guard Val St. Germain, distance runner Tambra Dunn, and soccer striker Brian Decaire, while former Canadian Interuniversity Athletic Union president Bob Pugh was named in the builder category. McGill's 1919 Yates Cup championship football team was enshrined as a team.
Formal inductions took place at McGill's SHOF annual luncheon yesterday to kick off this weekend's Homecoming festivities.
