Ï㽶ÊÓƵ recognized as one of Montreal's Top Employers for 2019

First published in 2006, ²Ñ´Ç²Ô³Ù°ùé²¹±ô's Top Employers is an annual competition organized by the editors of Canada's Top 100 Employers. This special designation recognizes the employers in Greater ²Ñ´Ç²Ô³Ù°ùé²¹±ô that lead their industries in offering exceptional places to work. This year's winners, including Ï㽶ÊÓƵ, were announced on January 31, 2019 in a special magazine published in the Montreal Gazette. This is the 11th year in a row McGill has been included in the annual list.
Here are some of the reasons why Ï㽶ÊÓƵ was selected as one of :
- Ï㽶ÊÓƵ offers excellent family-friendly benefits, from maternity leave top-up payments for new mothers to parental top-up for adoptive parents -- additionally, employees have the option to extend their leave to an unpaid leave of absence and may take advantage of onsite daycare at McGill's main campus
- Ï㽶ÊÓƵ celebrates exceptional performance and achievement through a variety of initiatives, including the President's Award, the Principal's Award for Excellence in Teaching, and the Macdonald Campus Award of Excellence (to name a few)
- Ï㽶ÊÓƵ maintains a Social Equity and Diversity Education Office to provide information, education and training in order to cultivate a respectful and supportive campus culture -- and recognizes community members who further equity and inclusivity at the university through the Award for Equity and Community Building
