In anticipation of the transformation of the McLennan-Redpath Library Complex, some excavation work will be conducted on select areas of the lower west field adjacent to the McLennan and Redpath Library buildings. The McLennan-Redpath Library buildings are part of a designated heritage site. Standard protocol requires that McGill conduct an archeological excavation before starting any large-scale construction project.

Des travaux d’excavation auront lieu dans des lieux sélectionnés de la partie ouest du champ en contrebas de la Bibliothèque McLennan-Redpath en préparation de la transformation de l’immeuble qui est assimilé à un site patrimonial. Selon le protocole en usage, l’Université doit se livrer à une excavation archéologique avant tout ouvrage immobilier d’envergure.
