Biography:
Established in 2011 by friends and family in memory of David 鈥淪lide鈥� Cohen, B.A. 1952, long-time member of the Schulich School of Music Advisory Board and McGill Governor. A menswear manufacturer by profession, David was a music lover at heart. As a student he played drums and trumpet and also managed the McGill Redmen Marching Band. Upon retirement, David studied trombone with a student at the Music faculty. Awarded by the Schulich School of Music Scholarships Committee with preference given to an outstanding brass student in the Schulich School of Music.
