Grammy Award for Nick Squire

Nick Squire (MMus '08) has received Grammy Award in the category of Best Orchestral Performance for his work as Sound Engineer on the recording of Shostakovich: Under Stalin's Shadow - Symphonies Nos. 5, 8 & 9, recorded by Deutsche Grammophon. ÌýThe Boston Symphony Orchestra was led by conductor ÌýAndris Nelsons.Ìý
He has worked in the Boston area since 2011 and isÌýcurrently the lead recording engineer at the Boston Symphony, and also works with theÌýBoston Pops, and Boston Symphony Chamber Players, among others. He earned his Bachelor of Music in percussion performance at the University of Nebraska at Omaha and his Master of Music in Sound Recording at the Schulich School of Music of McGillÌýUniversity.
