Title:ÌýmAAVm (Method for the Analysis of Audios and Videos of Music), its tools and applications

Abstract: Centered in music, the mAAVm (Method for the Analysis of Audios and Videos of Music) is a multidisciplinary approach in which performance, musicology, music education and composition dialog with seminal references of dance, theatre, cinema, literature, motor behavior, biomechanics, acoustics, psychology, phoniatrics and semiology. It aims at understanding the text(context)-sound-image trinomial in the realization of music. Concepts and illustrations of its eight tools will be presented: (1) MaPA (Map of Audiovisual Performance), (2) EdiP (Edition of Performance), (3) EdiPA (Edition of Audiovisual Performance), (4) EdSpec (Performance Edition of Spectrograms), (5) the Musician's Kinesphere, (6) the Circumplex Model of Affects in Music, (7) Recognition of Emotions and Body Expressions in Music Performance and (8) Spontaneity Levels in Music Performance. musicology.

Bio: Fausto Borém, Professor at UFMG (Brazil), founded the Graduate Program in Music and the scholarly journal Per Musi. Senior researcher for CNPq for 3 decades, he has published 2 books, 14 book chapters, over 60 papers and many relevant music scores. He has played recitals and given lectures (Performance Analysis, Musicology and Music Pedagogy) in venues such as Jacobs School of Music, Eastman School of Music, Sorbonne, Paris Conservatoire, Universität der Kunste Berlin, University of Edinburgh, University of Iceland etc. He has accompanied concert and popular musicians such as Yo-Yo Ma, Midori, Menahen Pressler, Hermeto Pascoal and Egberto Gismonti.
