Anthony Harvey
Anthony Harvey is an American lutenist that has enjoyed a varied career performing as a soloist, continuo player, and educator. He has collaborated in recital with distinguished soloists like Laurie Heimes, Charles Humphries, Gwyn Roberts, and Richard Stone, Frances Blaker, John Moran, Risa Browser. In the United States and Canada Anthony has performed with the National Philharmonic, the Wolf Trap Opera Company, the Middlebury Opera Company, the Washington Bach Consort, Chatham Baroque, Les Meandres, Les Voix parallèles, and I Musici, and at the Montreal Baroque Festival with Les Jardins Chorégraphiques. Anthony has been a guest lecturer at James Madison University, adjunct faculty at Washington College, and a guest artist at the Curtis Institute of Music. As a soloist, he has performed concerti by Sylvius Leopold Weiss with the North Carolina Baroque Orchestra and has presented solo performances on the concert series of the Amherst Glebe Arts Response, the Middlebury Bach Festival, and the Gotham Early Music scene, among others. Anthony holds multiple degrees from the Peabody Conservatory of Music where he studied baroque lute and theorbo under Richard Stone and from Ï㽶ÊÓƵ where he studied lute under Sylvain Bergeron.
