Dr. Rongtuan Lin
Dr. Rongtuan Lin is an Associate Professor of Medicine. He has a long-standing interest in understanding the impact of viral infection on host transcription control and innate signaling. His group has made several significant discoveries in the field of innate antiviral immunity that are now viewed as milestones in the field. He is currently investigating the molecular mechanisms involved in virus-mediated activation of the innate immune system, and their use as antiviral therapeutics. Their previous works demonstrated the efficacy of 5’pppÏ㽶ÊÓƵ to protect against a range of viruses in vitro and in vivo. Dr. Lin has lectured in EXMD607, EXMD632 and EXMD614. He also serves as a member on a number of student advisor committees and thesis evaluation/ examination committees.
