Dr. Mathieu Maheu-Giroux
Biography: 

Dr. Mathieu Maheu-Giroux is an Assistant Professor based in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics. He is an interdisciplinary population health scientist and his work focuses primarily on: 1) infectious disease modeling, 2) epidemiology and measurements, and 3) impact and economic evaluations of public health interventions. Dr. Maheu-Giroux’s substantive research areas include the transmission dynamics of HIV and HCV, with a focus on improving control and elimination strategies. He teaches epidemiology at both undergraduate and graduate levels. He is the instructor for “Population Health and Epidemiology” (PPHS 501). Dr. Maheu-Giroux also teaches master and doctoral students “Mathematical Modeling of Infectious Diseases” (EPIB 638). (website: )
