Title: Askey-Wilson, Temperley-Lieb algebras and centralizers of U_q(sl_2)

Abstract: The universal Askey-Wilson algebra AW(3) has been realized as the centralizer of the diagonal action of U_q(sl_2) in its three-fold tensor product. I will describe the connection between these algebras and discuss how to find a quotient of AW(3) that is isomorphic to the centralizer. I will then consider in particular the tensor product of three fundamental representations of U_q(sl_2). In this case, the centralizer is connected to the Temperley-Lieb algebra TL_3(q). Hence, an explicit isomorphism between a quotient of AW(3) and TL_3(q) will be obtained.
