Title: Multi-State Models for Recurrent Events
´¡²ú²õ³Ù°ù²¹³¦³Ù:ÌýTwo classes of statistical models for the analysis of recurrent events will be reviewed: intensity-based models and marginal models. In the former class of models, one aims at modeling the entire multi-state process and all its transition intensities while, in the latter class, one focuses on the expected number of recurrent events over time. We will argue that the latter class is particularly relevant in randomized studies where the aim is a comparison of two treatment arms. we will distinguish between situations with or without a 'terminating event' (competing risks) where the recurrent events process is stopped because of the occurrence of another event (typically death of the patient). An example from psychiatry will illustrate the methods.
