Achieving alternate futures in the Anthropocene

To counteract this widescale destruction, the researchers propose that imagination is a hopeful yet complicated tool for creating a positive environmental future.

“Humans are a dominant force on the planet and drive many planetary forces,” Bennett said in an interview with The Tribune.

In the article, the researchers question how we think about our species in relation to the environment and the future, arguing that instigating change for a better relationship with our planet will require new ways of relating to one another and imagining.
