Regulation of antigenic variation and life stage development in trypanosomes
You are invited to attend a special seminar by Dr. Igor Cestari, Center for Infectious Disease Research, Seattle, WA, United States. Sponsored by the Institute of Parasitology.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Dr. Cestari obtained his PhD from the Oswaldo Cruz Institute (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil), where he worked on the mechanisms of complement evasion by Trypanosoma cruzi. In 2010, he joined Dr. Ken Stuart’s laboratory at the Center for Infectious Disease Research (CIDR; Seattle, USA) as a postdoctoral scientist, where he discovered a role for phosphatidylinositol molecules in the regulation of antigenic variation in Trypanosoma brucei. He is currently a staff scientist studying antigenic variation and life stage development in trypanosomes.
EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO ATTEND.
