Speaker: Dr Mary Doidge, Assistant Professor, Agricultural Economics

Mary Doidge is an assistant professor of agricultural economics at McGill's Macdonald Campus. Dr. Doidge’s research examines farmer decision-making in the context of land use, crop insurance, conservation, and climate change adaptation behaviour. She also conducts research on the role of information in promoting sustainable decisions at the consumer level. She is interested in farmers’ on-farm economic decisions in the face of risk and uncertainty, and how insights from other social sciences can be applied to the study of agricultural economics.
