Description
This open file release was prepared following repeated requests by potential users for the surficial geology maps of the western part of James Bay basin in northwestern Quebec. Requests came mainly from the sectors of mineral exploration, research programs on the boreal forest, land use planning and groundwater investigation. Cartographic data are presented only in digital form and do not include all the information that will eventually be published as Geological Survey of Canada A series maps. Topographic data are not included.
Data is provided in ESRI shapefile and interchange (.e00) format. Documentation is provided in html and .pdf format.
