Open Access Week at McGill
Celebrate 2019 International Open Access Week at McGill October 21-25! The theme this year is “Open for Whom? Equity in Open Knowledge”. Building on last year’s theme that focused on designing equitable foundations for open knowledge, this year’s theme highlights the necessity to deepen our commitment to equity. The pace of transition has been increasing steadily and inclusivity and diversity by design should remain our central focus. Decisions made today will shape the future as “open” becomes the default requiring all stakeholders to use intention when designing new, inclusive and equitable open systems of knowledge sharing.
To celebrate, McGill Library will host workshops on open access, open data, copyright transfer agreements, predatory publishing, and systematic reviews.
