10:00am:Nosferatu (1922) 96 minutes long
An expressionist retelling of Bram Stoker’s Dracula so faithful to the original tale of vampirism that Stoker’s widow sued.
12:00pm: The Blob (1958) 83 minutes long
The Blob follows the havoc wreaked on a small town by an outer-space monster with neither soul nor vertebrae.
2:00pm: Carnival of Souls (1962) 79 minutes long
Made by industrial filmmakers on a modest budget, Carnival of Souls was intended to have the “look of a Bergman” and “feel of a Cocteau” and succeeds with its strikingly used locations and spooky organ score.
4:00pm:Black Sabbath (1963) 93 minutes long
One of the great horror anthology films, Black Sabbath solidified its director’s reputation as Europe’s maestro of the macabre.
