Panel on the Act respecting the laicity of the State (“Bill 21”)
The Runnymede Society of McGill will be hosting Me Coline Bellefleur, Me Julie Latour, Professor Maxime St-Hilaire (USherbrooke) and Professor Daniel Turp (UdeM) for a panel regarding the Act respecting the laicity of the State, commonly known as “Bill 21”. Justice Louise Otis will moderate the discussion.
Bill 21 has attracted a lot of attention, academic discussion and controversy in the legal field and beyond, and we want to give the McGill community an opportunity to hear the educated opinions of experts both in support and opposition to the Act in question.
RSVP: Since the capacity of the room is limited, all interested individuals must send an email to mcgillrunnymedesociety [at] gmail.com in order to reserve a seat.
This event is eligible for inclusion as 1.5 hours of continuing legal education as reported by members of the Barreau du Québec.
