This year, Dominique Hascher, Judge of the Supreme Judicial Court of France and Adjunct Professor of Law at University of Paris Panthéon-Sorbonne, will deliver the John E.C. Brierley Memorial Lecture.

This lecture on arbitration commemorates the life and work of John E.C. Brierley, who was Professor and Dean of Law at McGill. He was a prominent figure in the discipline of comparative law internationally and the leading Canadian expert on arbitration.

The John E.C. Brierley Memorial Lecture is presented by McGill and its Research Team on Private Justice and the Rule of Law (PJRL), with the participation of the Canadian Bar Association (Quebec branch). It will be followed by a cocktail generously sponsored by Woods LLP.

This event is accredited for 1 hour of continuing legal education for members of the Quebec Bar and of the Chambre des Notaires (#10092609)
