Abstract
An exploration of labour and employment law from a German perspective. Topics of discussion will include the legal protections afforded to employees under German law, collective bargaining and the role of trade unions, as well as the impact of workplace digitization on modern conceptions of the "worker." ​About the speaker
Kara Preedy is a partner in the Practice Group Labor & Employment in Germany. She advises national and international companies in virtually all areas of individual and collective employment law as well as in corporate transactions. She has deep experience in restructuring and operational changes as well as in high-level exits. Kara also focuses her practice on the design and implementation of working conditions, particularly remuneration models and compliance systems.
