All members of the Faculty of Law (students, staff, and professors) are invited to a joint session of the Constitutional Law class at which Dr. Marie Wilson, one of the three commissioners of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada (TRC), will be speaking.Ìý

Dr. Wilson is in residence at McGill this term as the Professor of Practice in Global Governance at the Institute for the Study of International Development (ISID). She is a tireless advocate for the acknowledgement of the injustices and harm experienced by Indigenous people as a result of the Residential Schools and for recognition of the need for continued healing.  

Prior to her appointment with the TRC, Dr. Wilson spent more than 30 years as an award-winning journalist and regional director for the CBC, including spending time in South Africa during its democratic transition and TRC process. See more information about .Ìý
