Cegep Students: See Yourself Here
Are you a Black or visible minority student (or person) who is either interested or currently applying to McGill Law? Are you a CEGEP student? If so, we would like to meet with you! The Black Law Students Association of McGill () will be hosting the first Cegep edition of our yearly See Yourself Here event in an effort to bring more diversity at McGill Law.
Our vision for this event is to support you in the application and admission process, including interviews!
Current BLSAM members will conduct a review session of all of your application documents (including: CVs and personal statements), where event attendees will be paired with current law students who have formerly been in your shoes and will thus be able to provide pointers and strategies on how to enhance and magnify your application portfolio!
Our members will also provide advice on how to contact professors and employers for academic and professional reference letters. Many of our members are also willing to share copies of their personal statements with event attendees for reference purposes.
So, if you’re a visible minority interested in applying to law school, you really don’t want to miss out on this amazing opportunity! We look forward to seeing you all there!
We ask that you to help us plan! Kindly confirm your presence only once you are positive you will be able to make the event so that preparations can be made to ensure we have enough students and BLSAM members available to review all of your documents!
Refreshments will be provided!
