Using a Template to Organize your Ideas
Feel overwhelmed with your reading notes? Don’t know how to structure your discussion section? Wondering how to organize your literature review?
In this hands-on workshop, we will introduce an efficient model that you can use to create an outline. You will also have time to explore and apply this model to your own project.
To take full advantage of this workshop, you should have one writing project in mind and bring ideas on how you might develop your thoughts for a particular section of that article or chapter. To shift modes a bit (particularly in this online context), have a pen handy, your notes, and a piece of paper to sketch an outline for your current writing project. This workshop is open to graduate students from all disciplines.
This workshop will be led by Mariève Isabel, a lecturer and instructor at the McGill Writing Centre since 2014. She has played several roles with Graphos, including workshop facilitator, writing group convener, tutor, and writing retreat facilitator.
The workshop will be offered online via Zoom on October 18, 2022, 3 pm - 4:30 pm. You will receive the zoom link and other details in the confirmation email once you submit the form.
