Tuesday, January 21, 2020 12:00to13:30
Brown Student Services 3600 rue McTavish, Montreal, QC, H3A 0G3, CA

Interested in knowing more about the ins and outs of a project management career? Come to this panel to find out about qualifications required and steps you can take to build a career as a Project Manager.

PANELISTS:

Emily Ayoub, Ph.D. '18, Biochemistry
Project Manager, Investment & Health Promotion
Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation

Emily Ayoub dedicated nine years of her graduate research life to cancer, with the goal that most of her peers shared: making a difference for those living with this disease. Following graduation and the phase of “what am I going to do with my life now,” she worked as a Project Assistant and Resource Developer at McGill Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies (GPS), trying to answer that big question by participating in the development of myPath, a program aiming to provide PhD students with ways to identify their goals and to create an Individual Development Plan (IDP). This experience paved the road for the perfect job that consolidated Emily’s cancer knowledge and her lifelong dream of making a difference in her community.

Today, Emily develops and implements innovative programs alongside Patient Partners, conducts Needs Assessment studies, and evaluates service offering in the Quebec Breast Cancer community. Through interviews and awareness campaigns, she continues to advocate for patients living with the incurable Metastatic Breast Cancer. Outside of the office (and sometimes inside), Emily enjoys singing, painting, and hiking with her husband, son and their Mini-Pinscher.
