Prayerful Vigil on the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women
Sunday December 6th marks the 31st anniversary of the mass shooting at École polytechnique, claiming the lives of 14 women, simply because they were women. On this anniversary, a prayerful vigil is offered by students and staff of the McGill-affiliated theological colleges and MORSL, for those seeking a space in which prayer is an integral part of remembering the Polytechique massacre and processing the emotions it stirs.
This year’s online commemoration of the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women will honour the memory of these 14 women with prayers, psalms and hymns, as well as petitions lifted up for action against violence and abuse so we may build a better world.
Please join us via Zoom from 5-6pm (Montreal time) for this contemplative pause of remembrance.
