Peer Career Discovery Groups (Graduate students and PDFs)
The Desjardins Centre for Advanced Training of the Research Institute of the Ï㽶ÊÓƵ Health Centre and McGill's Career Planning Service present Peer Career Discovery Groups
The Peer Career Discovery Group (PCDG) Program is a 10 week program dedicated to broadening the possibilities of an engaging career in Life Sciences. The program exists to guide trainees in their career exploration and preparation. Open to all graduate level trainees and PDFs who are ready to explore career possibilities through workshops and
activities both with a group of peers and independently.
- Actively engage in self-reflection through structured activities, provided in a free workbook, to reveal individual strengths, values and interests.
- Work with a small group of peers to foster a supportive network for discussing individual strengths, values, and interests to gain additional insights and perspectives.
- Obtain information about a variety of career paths both through independent research and networking with PCDG participants.
- Prepare the documents crucial to job success (example: c.v., cover letter etc)

Registration is mandatory in order to attend. Applications are open until September 20, 2019. Someone from the DCAT team will contact participants to confirm enrollment in the 2019 cohort. Program start date is September 26th.
