Through this highly interactive workshop, graduate students and post docs will work across聽effective methods for communication and challenge themselves to consider potential obstacles when communicating cross-culturally. Students will leave this session with a toolkit of useful communication strategies, including methods for active listening.

This workshop will also include role play situations related to common communication challenges graduate and post-doctoral students may encounter during their academic career.

Campus Life & Engagement鈥檚聽leadership development area聽is actively providing resources, building facilitation skills, developing leadership skills, and creating meaningful personal connections. We encourage the students to use these resources to build the skills they need and to get involved on campus and/or in the Montreal community to practically use them.

Our workshops are usually student-facilitated by members of聽the ACCE Team. ACCE is a group of McGill student volunteers that help their peers develop their leadership and get involved on campus or in the community.聽This workshop will be co-facilitated by staff from CL&E.
