Dane Malenfant
Dane Malenfant (He/Him) is a Métis citizen with Métis Nation—Saskatchewan. He was born in North Battleford (Treaty 6) and raised in Regina (Treaty 4). He has previously completed a certificate in French as a Second Language at the University of Regina. Then after transferring to McGill, Dane graduated in 2022 with a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science with minors in Psychology and Supplementary Computer Science.
He currently works as an Assistant Program Coordinator in the EDI conduit, Branches, where he helps conceptualize, organize and execute professional development programs tailored to Indigenous students like the research program IMPRESS. He also works as an AI Research Assistant in the LiNC lab at Mila to help study general principles of learning and memory in neural networks.
