Healthy Brains, Healthy LivesÌý²¹²Ô»å / have come together to offer graduate students a series of two seminars dedicated to precision health and professional development.
Speakers from both industry and academia will share their experience and provide insights on the different ways precision medicine is applied in various fields. They will discuss their own professional paths and offer different career-development perspectives on precision health and medicine. The presentations will be followed by Q&A and networking sessions with the guest speaker(s). Refreshments will be served.Ìý

Yasser Iturria-Medina, PhD—Assistant Professor | Ï㽶ÊÓƵ Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery
Iturria-Medina’s Lab – Neuroinformatics for Personalized Medicine – pursues primarily the goal of making precision medicine in Neurology a reality. It focuses on defining and implementing multiscale and multifactorial brain models for understanding neurological disorders and identifying effective personalized interventions. The lab combines molecular, imaging and cognitive data using integrative mathematical modelling to create both individual and population-based mechanistic brain models.
Dasha Sandra, MSc—Business Development and Training Officer |ÌýHealthy Brains, Healthy Lives
Dasha Sandra graduated from Ï㽶ÊÓƵ with a Master’s degree in Neuroscience in 2022 where she studied the placebo effects of personalized medicine. Dasha has several years of experience in hospital settings and not-for-profit organizations where she coordinated teams and managed strategic partnerships with organizations and researchers. Throughout her studies, Dasha has developed a passion for knowledge translation and usingÌýresearch findings for creating societal impact.
