McGill Global Health Scholar Alua Kulenova is a Political Science student and a McGill Global Health Scholar supported by the John Locke Churchill Scholars Award. She is working with Dr. Raphael Lencucha on How is policy incoherence problematised at the global level, and what are the implications for NCD prevention.
"My current responsibilities as a Global Health Scholar involve collecting documents concerned with the Sustainable Development Goals, conducting literature reviews, and qualitatively analyzing the relevant information. I am drafting a summary report of my findings and will assist with a journal manuscript.
The most exciting aspect of my internship is the opportunity to be immersed in research that combines an interest in disease prevention with the social sciences. It's been lovely to be a part of a cohort of students exploring different avenues of research, reflecting the diversity of global health itself."
