Urban regions are faced with a multitude of challenges, how decision-makers balance, prioritize and trade-off various鈥攐ften-conflicting鈥攅nvironmental, economic, and social equity goals is a central concern of my research. I predominately examine this through transport systems and how various personal, institutional, and government decision-making processes affect growth and development of urban areas.

Current projects

• Understanding听how the transportation needs of disadvantaged populations and issues of听social equity can be integrated into land use and transportation policies. 听听听听
• Understanding听how people and households of different socio-economic status respond to听measures of local and regional accessibility.
• Understanding听behavior change in the context of sustainable transportation and its听effects on health and well-being.
