Welcome to Anamaria Cardona, Senior Communications Officer of the GCI

The Goodman Cancer Institute will soon adopt and implement a new communication strategy and a new brand identity. Spearheading this overhaul of our communications is Anamaria Cardona, our new Senior Communications Officer.

The Goodman Cancer Institute is pleased to announce a new member of the research support team. Anamaria Cardona will be starting June 6th as the Senior Communications Officer and will be taking on the strategic communications portfolio and will be instrumental in the next year in rolling out a new brand identity and developing and implementing a communications plan for the Institute. She will work closely with the McGill communications team on joint initiatives.

Anamaria Cardona is a communications professional with over 10 years’ experience in strategic communications, partnerships development, and international relations in both the private and not-for-profit sectors.

Prior to joining the Rosalind and Morris Goodman Cancer Institute (GCI) she was Director of Partnerships and Communications at the Centre for the Prevention of Radicalization Leading to Violence (CPRLV) where she led the team responsible for developing communication strategies that helped advance the Centre's efforts to sensitize the general public to the importance of prevention of hate-motivated behaviors.

Anamaria earned a master’s degree in Interculturality and International Relations from the University of Strasbourg and a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Social Communications from La Sabana University.
