The study performed a meticulous and reliable examination of 166,880 scientists from around the world, with the aim of inspiring scholars, entrepreneurs, and decision-makers worldwide to explore where leading experts are heading and to provide an opportunity for the entire scientific community to discover who the leading experts in specific fields of research are.
Position in the ranking is based on a scientist's D-index (Discipline H-index), which only includes papers and citation values for an examined discipline. GCI researchers were ranked in the disciplines “Genetics and Molecular Biology” and “Biology and Biochemistry”.
We are delighted to announce Prof. Nahum Sonenberg’s ranking as #1 in Canada and #35 in the world for the discipline of Biology and Biochemistry. Other notable rankings include Profs. Philippe Gros, Jerry Pelletier, Morag Park, Vincent Giguère, Michel Tremblay and Xiang-Jiao Yang’s places as top 100 in Canada.
