Lawrence Kazak, Ph.D., Principal Investigator at the Rosalind and Morris Goodman Cancer Institute (GCI), has been recognized with theaward from the Canadian Physiological Society. This award, named for renowned physiologist and McGill alumni James A. F. Stevenson, offers a visiting professorship to an outstanding early-career physiologist in Canada. Prof. Kazak will present his award lecture at thein Long Beach, California.
The focus of theis understanding energy metabolism in physiology and disease, with research interests extending to cancer cell metabolism and immunity. His cutting-edge research and distinction as an outstanding young investigator prompted his nomination for this award.
