Fairtrade Canada has awarded this status to our downtown campus in recognition of our extensive campus-wide collaboration and dedication to the availability of Fair Trade products and engagement in Fair Trade education. As the first campus in Quebec achieve this status, McGill continues to be committed to offering our community products that help farmers and workers get fair wages and living conditions.

As the Fair Trade movement continues to grow, McGill’s Student Housing and Hospitality Services is proud to be a leader in Fair Trade purchasing and to inspire other Canadian universities to follow suit.

You can always find sugar and shredded coconut in the dining halls. Look for Fair Trade coffee, teas, and chocolates wherever they’re sold on campus.
