Public health genomics: Anything new?

With Dr. Fred Paccaud, MD, MSc.,Professor of Epidemiology and Public Health, Faculty of Medicine, Lausanne Head, Institute of Social and Preventive Medicine, University Hospital Center, Lausanne, Switzerland.

Presentation: Over the last decade or so, genomics is rapidly developing as a new perspective for epidemiological research and for clinical care. Both fields will have to cope with this new information, either as a new potential interaction in population medicine, or as a potent tool for personalized medicine. Some of these perspectives will be presented and discussed from a public health point of view.
