Dr. Guillaume Charbonneau,
College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) President 2017-2018
Dr. Charbonneau received his medical degree from the University of Montreal in 2004. In 2006, he completed his family medicine residency training at the Université de Sherbrooke.
Dr. Charbonneau works at the Centre intégré de santé et de services sociaux de l'Outaouais (CISSSO) in Maniwaki, Quebec. In addition to his clinical practice, he also works in the emergency department and the in-hospital and intensive care units.
During his medical studies, Dr Charbonneau served as the president of the Association of medical students of the University of Montreal, co-founded IFMSA-Quebec (International Federation of Medical Students’ Association) and was the president of the Federation of medical students of Quebec. During his residency, he was the president of Academic Affairs in Family Medicine as well as president of the Federation of resident physicians of Quebec.
Dr. Charbonneau was President of the Quebec College of Family Physicians from 2008 to 2010, and a member of the CFPC Board of Directors. With continued involvement with the CFPC, he completed a term as Secretary-Treasurer of the CFPC Board in 2015-2016, and President-Elect from 2016-2017.
