Published: 30 September 2019

The McGill Practice-based Research NetworkÌý(PBRN) was pleased to support research projects during the 2018-2019 academic year. Indeed, as part of the calls for projects of Réseau-1 Québec (R-1 QC), the PBRNÌýsupported the submission of :

  1. Three projects for the call for protocol development projects, two of which received a grant of 5,000$ dollarsÌýeach from R-1 QCÌýand the Ï㽶ÊÓƵ Department of Family Medicine. The winning projects are:
Screening for iron deficiency, with or without anemia, among vulnerable children 0-5 years old: a feasibility study, directed by Patricia Li and Josiane Cyr
Facilitators, Barriers and Potential Interventions for Pediatric to Adult Transition from the Perspective of Clients and Clinicians, led by Peter Nugus and Diana Ramos

During the year, both projects benefited from a mentoring process and an online course (PBRN: Introduction to Research and Scholarly Activity). The protocols are thus ready to be submitted on September 30, 2019. They will also be able to apply for the call for research projects on innovations for the year 2019-2020.
