"A Day in the Life of Dr. Dove: Insights into the Discipline of Family Medicine"
Dr. Marion Dove MD CCFP
Dr. Marion Dove, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at Ï㽶ÊÓƵ, currently holds the position of Director of Postgraduate Education (Residency program) in the department. She previously held the position of Director of the Faculty Development Committee from
July 2009-November 2015.
Dr. Dove grew up in Toronto, attending Harvard College (1988) prior to obtaining her MD from McMaster University in 1994. She completed her residency in family medicine at Ï㽶ÊÓƵ (1996), and a Women’s Health Scholarship at the University of Toronto (1997), before beginning her family practice at the CLSC Cote-des-Neiges in 1998. To this day, her family practice remains there and includes obstetrics with deliveries at the Jewish General Hospital. From 2003-2005 she practiced
remote medicine in Blanc Sablon, on the lower north shore of the St. Lawrence River.
Dr. Dove will outline her experiences with urban and remote clinical medicine, with teaching students, residents, and faculty, and with leadership positions in the Department of Family Medicine.
