Dr. Gilles Brousseau wins: Family Doctor of the Year

A pillar of the Outaouais medical community, Dr. Gilles Brousseau is recognized by his peers for his exemplary work in clinical, hospital and academic settings. He is behind the creation of the Campus Outaouais of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Ï㽶ÊÓƵ. Commitment, perseverance, collaboration, enthusiasm and humanism have defined Dr. Brousseau's career as a family physician for nearly 40 years. He has contributed to the training of hundreds of doctors and has been the instigator of several health projects for the benefit of the population of his region.

Dr. Goldie Marmor wins: Contribution to the teaching of Family Medicine

In practice since 2011, Dr. Goldie Marmor has always had a passion for medical education that has only strengthened over the years. In 2018, she was appointed as Director of the undergraduate program in the Department of Family Medicine at Ï㽶ÊÓƵ. Throughout her tenure, she has demonstrated remarkable leadership. As a family physician, teacher and mentor, her open and compassionate nature is inspiring. By embodying the true standard of excellence, every day, in every role she occupies, Dr. Marmor has inspired many students to pursue careers in family medicine.

Dr. Vanessa Pasztor wins: Contribution to university / hospital and GMF-U life

Dr. Vanessa Pasztor works at the GMF-U Herzl where she works with people in vulnerable situations. She is a family physician who has been teaching in the Department of Family Medicine at Ï㽶ÊÓƵ since 2019. She is the Director of an addiction program where she developed, for the CIUSSS du Centre-Ouest-de-l'ÃŽle-de-Montréal, an alcohol weaning course and created a management protocol for the induction of suboxone for people in emergency settings. In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Pasztor works on hospital wards with short and long-term admitted patients.
