Read a letter from Muath Alammar, an international student who began his journey at Ï㽶ÊÓƵ in July 2023, enrolled in the Clinician Scholar Program and pursued a Master's degree in Family Medicine with a focus on Global Health.
As I reflect on my time here at Ï㽶ÊÓƵ, I am filled with great memories and immense gratitude. At the end of this fellowship, I am overwhelmed by three of the best pieces of news in my life, which have made this period exceptionally memorable. Firstly, the birth of my daughter here in Montreal has brought immense joy to my family and will always be a cherished milestone. Secondly, being promoted to Associate Professor is a professional achievement that highlights the growth and development I have experienced during my time here. Lastly, getting to know and work with an exceptional team has significantly honed my skills and broadened my perspectives, preparing me to return home and contribute meaningfully to my country’s healthcare system. These experiences have not only enriched my personal and professional life but have also deepened my appreciation for the incredible support and opportunities provided by the Department of Family Medicine.
